The learning activity that my group chose to do was an introduction to volleyball. By starting with the basics, it helps students be able to build the fundamental skills to eventually be able to participate in full gameplay. Essentially it involves the students getting divided into teams of 6 and catching and passing the ball to their teammates and then throwing it back over the net to simulate real gameplay. Once students feel confident they can begin actual gameplay by bumping and setting.

This learning activity aims to promote physical activity, team spirit, and knowledge of the game of volleyball.

Reflection:

After finishing the Learning Design Proposal, the presentation, and the final Learning Design Paper, I would say that my group had success working together. There were times that we found it a little challenging to understand what needed to be done but once we figured it out, dividing the work up wasn’t a challenge. I always find it interesting to work in groups in an online class because it definitely takes a tone of patience and communication skills but in the end, I really liked working with this group for this class.
